Grads Fall 5-1 to PLK in Pre-Season Debut

The Navan Grads’ defense had a poor night, allowing the Pembroke Lumber Kings 36 shots throughout the game. The Pembroke Lumber Kings took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Matthew Barnaby.

Matthew Barnaby did his part, adding 2 goals and Salim Mahi-Beaudry chipped in with 2 goals.

In the first period, Chartrand opened the scoring for Navan with a goal at 6:08 with helpers from teammates Cahill and Reyes.

During the second, Mahi-Beaudry finally put Pembroke on the board with a goal at 14:06 with assists from Rhodes and Romano.

In the third, Barnaby netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 6:59 with helpers from Rhodes and Derraugh. Mahi-Beaudry quickly followed with a goal at 8:42 with an assist from fellow Lumber Kings forward Warnholtz. Barnaby scored a goal at 14:32 with helpers from Walilko and Derraugh. Arfstrom quickly followed with a goal at 15:31 with assists from Mcintyre and Warnholtz.

This loss brings the Navan Grads’ record to (0-1-0-0).
