The Grads defeat the Lasers 4-3

Seth Carter came up big, stopping 32 of 35 shots throughout the game. The Navan Grads took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Corson Searles.

Wil Murray delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Corson Searles chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Luca Nocita contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first period, Murray opened the scoring for Navan with a goal at 7:33 with helpers from his linemates, Way ‘a’ and Searles. Larsen answered for Kanata with a goal at 19:58 with helpers from teammates Denomme and Smith.

In the second, Arcan answered for the Grads with a goal at 4:00 with assists from his linemates, Lycan and Way ‘a’. Nocita quickly followed with a goal at 5:08 with assists from Hastings and Markhauser. Way ‘a’quickly followed with a goal at 6:34 with a helper from fellow Grads forward Murray. Searles scored what turned out to be the game winning goal at 9:31 with helpers from his linemates, Arcan and Way ‘a’. Case answered for the Lasers with a goal at 17:36 with assists from his linemates, Nocita and Sleeth.

Navan’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Carter’s big night as he stopped 32 of the 35 shots he faced. Carter’s counterpart, Tourigny, also had a big night, managing to stop 38 of 42, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Navan Grads’ record to (1-4-0-1).
