ROOKIE SPOTLIGHT | THOMAS MCEVOY | NAVAN GRADS

OTTAWA, ON – Selected in the 3rd round of the 2022 Central Canada Hockey League Bantam Protected Draft by the Navan Grads, Ottawa, ON native Thomas McEvoy has been a strong presence down he middle for Navan in his rookie season of HEO U18 AAA.

McEvoy is a highly competitive left-shot center that plays a responsible two-way game. He plays hard and fast and uses his speed to beat defenders wide. He has a quick release and is smart in the offensive zone and will slip to open space to create chances.

So far this season, McEvoy has registered 16 goals, 12 assists and 28 points in 29 games played, including two hat tricks and a 4-goal performance.

Prior to his time in U18AAA, McEvoy came up through the Ottawa Jr 67’s AAA and Ottawa Sting AA programs.
