GAME HIGHLIGHTS | NAVAN GRADS WIN 4-3 IN OVERTIME OVER THE CORNWALL COLTS; CAPTAIN GABRIEL CRETE SCORES THE GAME WINNER

The top two teams in the Central Canada Hockey League standings collided this afternoon at Navan Memorial Centre. Assistant Captain, Devon Savignac opened the scoring for the Grads when he roofed his 21st goal of the season on the first shift of the game. At 17:09 of the first period, Colts veteran forward Kobe Tallman  evened the score at 1-1 after 20 minutes of action.

In the 2nd period, the Cornwall Colts special teams went to work. At 12:22 of the period Fernand-Olivier Perron scored a shorthanded goal to give the Colts a 2-1 leads; a few minutes later Kaiden Pyke scored on the power play to extend the Colts lead to 3-1. Before the period came to end, Navan defenseman Briggs Jowett found the back from the blue line to make it 3-2 Cornwall after 40 minutes.

Navan Grads Captain Gabriel Crete scored at 10:54 of the 3rd period when he buried a pass on a odd man rush from defenseman Nicholas Paone to tie the game at 3-3. In overtime, it was Gabriel Crete hammering home a pass from Paone once again to secure the win and 2 points in the standings; while Grads goaltender Jaeden Nelson made 26 saves for the win between the pipes.
