The Grads defeat the Nationals 2-1

The Navan Grads’ offense had a big night, peppering the Rockland Nationals with 31 shots throughout the game. The Navan Grads took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Keenan Reynolds.

Zachary Salloum ‘c’chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Blanchette opened the scoring for Rockland with a goal at 17:40 with helpers from his teammates Beatty and Matthews.

During the second, Salloum ‘c’finally put the Grads on the board with a goal at 10:05 with assists from Locatelli ‘a’ and Francis. Reynolds quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 11:17 with helpers from Way ‘a’ and Salloum ‘c’.

Navan’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Carter’s big night as he stopped 28 of the 29 shots he faced. Carter’s counterpart, Roy, also had a big night, managing to stop 29 of 31, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Navan Grads’ record to (6-14-0-0).
