Seth Carter posted a shutout, stopping all 35 of the Kanata Lasers shots throughout the game. The Navan Grads took the lead early in the first on a goal from Mike Mcpherson and never looked back.
During the first period, Mcpherson opened the scoring for Navan with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:49 with helpers from his teammates Locatelli ‘a’ and Francis.
In the third, Salloum ‘c’netted a goal at 0:41 with an assist from his defensive partner, Matton.
The Grads’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Carter’s shutout, as he stopped all 35 of the shots he faced. Carter’s counterpart, Bateman, also had a big night, managing to stop 30 of 32, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Navan Grads’ record to (7-14-0-0).
