OTTAWA, ON – Selected in the 3rd round of the 2022 Central Canada Hockey League Bantam Protected Draft by the Navan Grads, 2007 born Ottawa, ON native Shaan Kingwell has consistently been one of the top rookie forwards in HEO U18 AAA.

Kingwell is an athletic and smart puck possession forward that can make plays at full speed. He is strong in one-on-one situations and has slick hands to break down defenders in tight spaces. He uses the drag and shoot well in transition and possesses a quick release. He has constantly shown his ability to be a game-breaker with moments that leave those watching astonished.

On the season, Kingwell has registered 23 points (15G, 8A) through 21 regular season games.

Prior to his time in HEO U18 AAA, Kingwell came up through the Ottawa Jr 67’s AAA, and Ottawa Sting AA programs.
