Release | Gongshow Gear Three Stars of the Month Announced for November

OTTAWA, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce the Gongshow Gear Three Stars of the Month for November.

Jesse Kirkby (Pembroke Lumber Kings) earned 1st Star honours, Thomas Freel (Ottawa Junior Senators) came out as the 2nd Star, and Ryan Burke (Navan Grads) earned the 3rd Star.

 

1ST STAR | Jesse Kirkby | Pembroke Lumber Kings

The 2002 born North Bay, ON native totaled 14-points (7G, 7A) in 10 games of action, being named a 1st star on three occasions, while also earning 2nd star honours once. His biggest 1st star effort came November 12th on the road against Rockland where he netted a hat-trick, including the game-winning goal late in the third period. His other two 1st star performances came on the road against Smiths Falls (1G, 1A) and Ottawa (1G, 2A). On the season, Kirkby has 26 points (14G, 12A) in 23 games of action.

 

2ND STAR | Thomas Freel | Ottawa Junior Senators

The 2001 born Ottawa, ON native totaled 15 points (12G, 3A) in 10 November games, earning 1st star honours twice, 2nd star honours once, and 3rd star honours once. He had a 3-point (2G, 1A) effort Vs Brockville and a hat-trick performance Vs Nepean. Freel sits 4th overall in CCHL scoring with 31 points (16G, 15A) in 23 games.

 

3RD STAR | Ryan Burke | Navan Grads

The 2003 born London, ON native totaled 11 points (9G, 2A) in 9 games of action, which included being named 1st star twice and 2nd star once. His two 1st star performances came in victories over 1st place Ottawa where he netted 2 goals in the games final 4 minutes and Carleton Place where he had 3 points (2G, 1A). On the year, Burke has 23 points (12G, 11A). His 12 goals are first among all 2003 born players in the league.
