SIMON SINGHER COMMITS TO PLATTSBURGH STATE UNIVERSITY

Navan, ON – The Navan Grads Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club of the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) are proud to announce that 2002-born defenseman Simon Singher has committed to attend and play for Plattsburgh State University for the 2023-2024 season.

The Montreal, QC product played his final year of junior hockey in Navan and was an integral member of the Grads blueline during the 2022-2023 campaign; Singher who appeared in every regular season and playoff game for the Grads recorded 26 points (5G, 21A) in 62 games.

General Manager & Head Coach Marty Abrams said, “Simon established himself as an elite Junior A defenceman this season. Logging huge minutes, he played in all situations and was a big part of our success this year. His work ethic day in and day out and his commitment to the game played a major role in his development. Our program is proud to have Simon commit to Plattsburgh State and look forward to watching his continued success at the next level.”

An alumnus of the Stanstead College Varsity program, Singher played one season with the Toronto Junior Canadiens of the OJHL where he registered 22 points (1g, 21A) in 60 games during the 2021-2022 season. During the off-season, Singher was acquired by the Navan Grads.

Located in Plattsburgh, NY, the Cardinals compete in the NCAA Division III State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) under head coach Steve Moffat.
