NICHOLAS PAONE COMMITS TO OSWEGO STATE UNIVERSITY
Navan, ON โ The Navan Grads Junior โAโ Hockey Club of the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) is proud to announce that standout defenseman Nicholas Paone has committed to Oswego State University for the 2024-2025 season.
The 2023-2024 season was a truly dominant campaign for Nico, registering 17 goals, 26 assists, and 43 points in just 28 games. His performance was pivotal during the regular season and throughout the playoffs, where he added another 7 goals, 7 assists, and 14 points in 17 games, helping to lead the Navan Grads to capture the 2024 CCHL Bogart Cup Championship.
Paone holds five Navan Grads franchise records for a defenseman in playoffs: ย most playoff goals in 1 season (7), most career playoff goals (11), most playoff assists in 1 season (7), most playoff points in 1 season (14), and most career playoff points (20).
"Nico's commitment to Oswego State University is a testament to his hard work, talent, and dedication to the game," said Ryan Woodward, Associate Coach and Assistant GM of the Navan Grads. " We are incredibly proud of his achievements and look forward to seeing his continued success at the collegiate level."
