CAMERON VASSOS COMMITS TO MANHATTANVILLE COLLEGE

Navan, ON – The Navan Grads Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club of the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) are proud to announce that 2002-born defenseman Cameron Vassos has committed to attend and play for Manhattanville College for the 2023-2024 season.

The Caledon, ON product played his final year of junior hockey in Navan and added a veteran presence to the Grads blueline during the 2022-2023 campaign; Vassos played in all situations for the Grads and registered 13 points (3G, 10A) in 45 games in the regular season.

General Manager & Head Coach Marty Abrams said, “Cam is one of the hardest working and most prepared players you’ll find at this level. He plays in all situations and is a great teammate. Highly coachable, Cam will make the transition to the next level and will be a great addition to the Manhattanville program. I look forward to watching Cam’s progress at the NCAA level and wish him much success.”

An alumnus of the Toronto Nationals U16 AAA program, Vassos was selected in the 12th Round by the Kitchener Rangers in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection Draft. Vassos played the 2019-2020 season with the Collingwood Blues in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) before landing in Grande Prairie for two seasons with the Storm in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL). During the off-season, Vassos was acquired by the Navan Grads.

Located in Purchase, NY, the Manhattanville Valiants compete in the NCAA Division III United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) under head coach David Turco.
