Navan struck first in the opening period with goals from Marcellino (6:57) and Holmes (12:08), but Ottawa responded quickly as Guillemette scored at 12:53. In the second, Carpenter extended Navan’s lead at 4:00, but Gagnon brought Ottawa back within one at 15:03. Carpenter sealed the win with an empty-net goal at 19:00 of the third, though Matsukubo scored on the power play for Ottawa with five seconds remaining. Navan outshot Ottawa 26-29, went 0-for-1 on the power play, while Ottawa capitalized on 1-of-3 chances. Gagne made 26 saves for Navan, while Paddock stopped 22 shots for Ottawa.
