Navan secured a 5-2 win over Hawkesbury, led by Johnson’s two goals and two assists, including the empty-netter to seal the game. Jenken’s power-play goal in the first gave Navan a 2-0 lead before Pelchat got Hawkesbury on the board early in the second. Holmes quickly restored the two-goal cushion, and Navan extended its lead in the third with Kingwell’s goal at 5:26. Trudeau responded 25 seconds later for Hawkesbury, but they couldn’t complete the comeback. Gagne stood tall in net, making 42 saves on 44 shots, while Ruddy stopped 30 of 34 for Hawkesbury. Navan went 1-for-2 on the power play, while Hawkesbury was 0-for-3 despite outshooting Navan 44-35.
