The Navan Grads defeated the Brockville Braves 5-2 with a solid all-around performance. Navan opened the scoring in the first period with a power-play goal from Johnson at 9:00, followed by a late tally from Kingwell at 19:57. Brockville cut the lead in half in the second period when Legostaev scored at 9:12, but Navan responded with a goal from Smith at 13:41 to restore the two-goal cushion. In the third, Kingwell netted his second of the night at 12:52, and Brown added an empty-net, shorthanded goal at 18:27. Brockville’s Legostaev scored another shorthanded goal at 19:18, but Navan’s lead held firm. The Grads outshot the Braves 35-29, and both teams went 1-for-5 on the power play. Goaltender Gagne made 27 saves for Navan, while Gerlich stopped 30 shots for Brockville. The win secured Navan their spot in the semi-finals.
