Leslie Commits to CIS University of Toronto Varsity Blues for 2017-2018 Season

The Central Canada Hockey League and Cumberland Grads are pleased to announce that ’96 born F Jared Leslie will attend the University of Toronto this coming fall where he will suit up for the Varsity Blues Hockey Program.

The Windsor, ON native is third season of action in the CCHL where he has suited up for the Gloucester Rangers, Ottawa Jr Senators, and Cumberland Grads.  In 143 combined regular season and playoff games, the 5-9, 180 lb two-way forward has scored 27 goals and totalled 68 points.

“We are extremely excited for Jared and his commitment to the University of Toronto,” said Grads Head Coach Sylvain Favreau.  “Jared has worked very hard over the past three years playing in the CCHL.  He has overcome adversity and has shown a tremendous will to succeed.  His 200-foot game, hockey smarts and ability to contribute offensively along with his natural leadership skills will most definitely be put to use during the next 4 years at the U Sports (CIS) level,” added Favreau.
