Late goal as the Grads fall to the Lumber Kings 5-4

Noah Rowland scored the game winning goal late in the game as the Navan Grads narrowly lost to the Pembroke Lumber Kings 5-4 in a home game at Pembroke Memorial Centre (PMC) in Navan. Also, the Navan Grads' defense had a poor night, allowing Pembroke 26 shots throughout the game.

Joe Mcgrath chipped in with 2 goals and Coleton Cianci contributed with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists). Matthew Barnaby did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Connor Warnholtz delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

During the first period, Warnholtz opened the scoring for the Lumber Kings with a goal at 4:16 with helpers from his linemates, Barnaby and Falivena.

In the second, Cianci answered for the Grads with a goal at 8:19 with a helper from Roy. Barnaby answered for Pembroke with a goal at 18:21 with assists from his linemates, Warnholtz and Arseneau.

In the third, Mcgrath answered for Navan with a goal at 1:01 with assists from teammates Cianci and Jurgeneit. Emoff quickly followed with a goal at 2:38 with helpers from his linemates, Falivena and Arseneau. Mcgrath quickly followed with a goal at 3:35 with helpers from Cianci and Sanders. Way ‘a’ put in a goal at 13:37 with an assist from defenseman Jurgeneit. Barnaby answered for the Lumber Kings with a goal at 18:29 with helpers from his linemates, Warnholtz and Browne. Rowland quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:13 with an assist from Falivena.

This loss brings the Navan Grads’ record to (9-40-0-0).
