GRADS INK WOODWARD TO CONTRACT EXTENSION

The Navan Grads Junior A Hockey Club are pleased to announce the signing of Associate Coach & Assistant General Manager Ryan Woodward to a multi-year extension. Woodward joined the organization in May of 2018 and has been a key contributor to both the Grads Junior A and U18 teams. A native of Picton Ont., Ryan is a former NCAA and CJHL player, winning championships at both levels while serving as team Captain. In his post-playing career he has been involved in coaching and management for several years, and has earned a strong reputation in both player identification and recruitment. Known as a player's coach, Woodward has worked tirelessly on behalf of the Grad players, promoting them to higher levels of play.

Team Governor Steve Barban notes, "We are thrilled to have Ryan in our organization for an extended period as we continue to build a championship calibre team for Navan and East Ottawa. He has a keen eye for identifying talent as well as developing it. Integral to our organization, Ryan flat-out makes the Navan Grads better."

General Manager/Head Coach Marty Abrams " Ryan has been instrumental to our program here in Navan. He continues to make our organization better by putting in countless hours covering all facets of the operation. He has worked extremely hard and deserves this contract extension. I look forward to working alongside Woody for years to come as we continue to develop our program and helping our players achieve their goals."

Woodward said, “I am thrilled to sign this contract extension with the Navan Grads and even more excited about the future of the Navan Grads Junior A and U18 programs. I want to thank Steve Barban for this opportunity and Marty Abrams for his unwavering commitment to myself and the organization. I look forward to working with Marty and the staff in Navan and continuing to pursue our organizational goals and helping our players advance to the highest levels possible.”
