GRADS DEFEAT CORNWALL 3-2 ON THE ROAD

GRADS DEFEAT RAIDERS 6-3 AT CCHL SHOWCASE

CORNWALL, ON - The Navan Grads picked up a 3-2 win on the road vs. the Cornwall Colts on Thursday night at Ed Lumley Arena.

The Grads opened the scoring at 5:18 of the first period when Aidan Puley sent Gabriel Crete and Ryan Burke in alone on a 2 vs. 0 and Burke buried a pass from Crete to make it 1-0 Grads. The Colts answered shortly after when Aaron Shaw found a rebound and tied the game 1-1 at 7:47 of the period. The Grads quickly responded at 8:22 when Alec Lovisek found Devyn Orpana in the slot for his first goal of the season to give the Grads a 2-1 after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, the power-play went to work at 1:43 when Alexandre Hogue and Alec Lovisek teamed up to find Devyn Orpana for his second goal of the game. The Colts would add a short-handed tally at 18:40 of the middle frame to cut the lead to 3-2 after after two periods of play.
Goaltender Ben West shut the door in the third period for the Grads and secured his 5th win of the season by making 24 saves on the night.
The Grads are back in action Friday night at Navan Memorial Centre when the host the 6-1-0-0 Renfrew Wolves. Puck drop is at 7:30PM.
