DEVYN ORPANA COMMITS TO ADRIAN COLLEGE
NAVAN, ON – The Navan Grads of the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) are proud to announce that Team Captain Devyn Orpana (’01) has committed to Adrian College and the Adrian Bulldogs NCAA Division III program for the 2022-2023 season.
Orpana, 20 was recently named to the CCHL All Graduate 1st All-Star Team in his final year of junior eligibility. The Rockwood, Ontario native registered 25 goals, 27 assists and 52 points in just 42-games during the 2021-2022 season and his 1.24 Pts/Per-Game ranked first overall on the Navan Grads.
Orpana was recruited by the Navan Grads prior to the 2019-2020 season and quickly became an integral part of the Grads program during his first season in Navan when he recorded 22 goals, 21 assists and 42 points.
Navan Grads Head Coach and General Manager Marty Abrams offered his congratulations to Devyn on his commitment to Adrian College, “Our program is excited and proud to announce Devyn’s commitment to Adrian. He has been the ultimate leader for us both on and off the ice and is an elite player in the CCHL. Right from the day of his arrival to Navan, Devyn contributed to the success of our program and was counted on to play in all situations. A great combination of skill, grit and determination makes him an excellent addition to the already strong Adrian program. I expect Devyn to contribute to their success and provide the same leadership traits he exhibited while in Navan. It has been an absolute pleasure to coach him and to have his family in our program. We will miss him greatly next season but will be watching his continued development at the NCAA level. I wish him nothing but the best.”
The Adrian College Bulldogs recently captured the 2022 NCAA Division III National Championship; the first National Title in the program’s history. Orpana will add to an already strong Bulldogs roster and will join teammate Alec Lovisek as freshman forwards with the Adrian Bulldogs in the 2022-2023 season.
