DEFENSEMAN COLE JENKEN SCORES THE 2OT WINNER; BEST OF 7 SERIES IS TIED 1-1

Navan 3, Carleton Place 2 (2OT)
Navan edged out Carleton Place 3-2 in double overtime, with Jenken netting the game-winner on the power play just 30 seconds into the second extra frame. Johnson struck again in the third to tie the game and force overtime. Despite both teams trading chances, it was Jenken who sealed the win. Both goalies were sharp, with Navan’s Gagne stopping 38 shots and Carleton Place’s Vandenberg making 38 saves of his own.
